Profiles 8.1

A standard user profile on HowAboutWe begins with the basics: career, education, faith, politics, race, children, and height. With aspects like faith and politics, HowAboutWe also incorporates an “importance rating” ie. is it important to you that your new potential spouse is also a diehard liberal? From there, HowAboutWe has three quantifiers for exercise, if you smoke, and how much do you drink. Once you have all of that completed you can choose to upload as many pictures as your heart desires and answer a wide range of multiple choice questions to make your profile that much more appealing.

Matching 7.3

Matching on HowAboutWe is generally through The Pool. While each user includes a suggested how-about-we date on their profile, The Pool is by and large a swipe right or left mechanism similar to Tinder.

Once you match with someone you can then choose to message them and decide which date to embark upon.

Filters 8.4

The available filters match the profile options (height, faith, politics etc.) and also include what kind of date you’re looking for. Dates are separated into six different categories: All, Eat, Drink, Listen/Watch, Play, and Explore.

Communication 6.3

Communication is only available to people once they match or sign up for a premium membership. Due to the user base still being relatively small, HowAboutWe isn’t really strong on the communication front without a premium membership.

Value 7.5

HowAboutWe is an interesting concept, but it unfortunately does not deliver a large enough user base and free options to regular members. If you’re interested in its concept, the premium membership offers everything needed to participate in this small but intrigued premium crowd.
