Over the past seven years Grindr has truly changed online dating and hooking up in the gay community. Before getting started on Grindr you will need to sign up with an email and create a profile. You will also need to allow Grindr access to your location (so you can see the hot guys around you at any given time!). In your profile, you can describe what you’re looking for, what you’re into,and if you are looking for love or just something casual. Your bio should be short and to the point. Grindr matches you with nearby guys that are looking to have some fun. You can meet guys that are miles away, or just feet from you. No need to swipe if you like someone.
Grindr allows you to view profiles for free. If you see someone that catches your eye, all you have to do is tap their photo, hit the message button and begin chatting. It’s very much like texting. No matter what city, state or country you might be in or visiting, the Grindr app taps into your current location and allows you to view local guys.

You can block up to ten guys a day if you’re not into them. With the Xtra package, you will be able to block as many guys as you like. This is a dating app after all, so you might need it!

The Grindr app is 100% free to download and use. You can browse up to 100 guys in your area at any given time. You can view profiles, search for matches, and build your profile for nothing. It offers incredible value considering many other sites don’t even let you view profiles or enter the site’s network until you pay for a membership. Grindr only charges for memberships when you want to view more that 100 guys or need unlimited blocks. I have never paid for Grindr Xtra because I've always found the free version enough. Grindr is fun, useful and consistent.
