International Wine of the Month Club isn’t just for wine enthusiasts; it’s become a monthly staple in my home. Short of vineyard-hopping, it’s difficult to discover great wines and even harder to understand what makes a wine truly great. This club not only finds the best bottles straight from the vineyard, but also gives tons of useful information for wine drinkers and sommeliers-in-training.

Subscription 8.5

Whether you just want to drink a great wine, or you’re looking for the best of the best, this monthly subscription offers something for every type of wine drinker. The premier membership offers fantastic quality at a great price, the masters membership gives a little more: “fine” wines, and the collector series, the top membership tier, offers exclusive bottles with limited production runs. I prefer the masters series because the quality is just a bit better than the premier, and it’s only around $15 more a month—so worth it!

What's Inside 9.2

Every month, you’ll receive two hand-selected bottles of wine. You can choose from two whites, two reds, or one of each with the premier, and with the masters and the collectors, you can choose one of each, or just two reds.

They also include cellar notes and recommended food pairings. It’s a complete package for wine-lovers and foodies.

Packaging 6.8

It’s quite simple. Each bottle is nestled in a cardboard carton within an unmarked cardboard box. It’s definitely packaged well but it’s not super exciting like other subscription boxes.

Shipping 5.3

The price of shipping and handling isn’t included in the monthly price, which I hate. Shipping is timely and fast, so you get what you pay for, I guess.

Value 8.9

For around $17-$35 a bottle, you get some really fantastic wines you’d be unable to find in your local liquor or grocery store. The club sources the finest wines from all over the globe, which is essentially its draw. If you want really exciting and unusual wine selections without having to do the work, this club is definitely worth the price point.
