Amazing Netflix Shows that Will Make You Call in Sick

I hope everyone has some sick time; you’re going to need it. With so much amazing television already out there, there aren’t enough hours in the day to keep up with the new stuff.

As we roll into 2016, many of this year’s most anticipated shows will be airing on Netflix. So put on your PJ’s, grab a bucket of popcorn and hit the couch! Here is our rundown of this year’s must-see Television: 

 

1. Chelsea Does…

Comedian and author Chelsea Handler has partnered with Netflix for a new four-part documentary series. The ex-late-night talk show host for E! said goodbye to the network last August. Her new show, Chelsea Does… is a hilarious no-holds-barred look at marriage, racism, silicon valley and drugs. Chelsea Does… begins streaming on January 23.  

 

2.  Love

Created by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin (writer of HBO’s Girls), Love follows Gus and Mickey as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of modern love, intimacy, commitment, and other things they were hoping to avoid. Having recently ended their respective dysfunctional relationships, Gus and Mickey meet each other by chance at a convenience store and forge a connection in the mending of their broken hearts and egos. Love is set for streaming on February 19.  

 

 

 

3.  Fuller House

It’s been over twenty years since we said goodbye to the Tanner family. If your life just wasn’t the same without Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber—don’t sweat—they’re back in Fuller House. The Full House adventures continue when DJ Tanner-Fuller calls upon her sister, Stephanie, and her best  friend, Kimmy, to move in with her and help raise her three boys. The house will be full again on February 26.  

 

4. House of Cards: Season 4

Yes—it’s back! Get ready to join Frank and Claire on a roller coaster ride through the seedy underbelly of the political machine. If you haven’t seen House of Cards, you might want to use that sick time now and hit up season one before season four premieres on Netflix on March 4. Unmissable.  

 

5.  Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 2

After spending 15 years in a cult, Kimmey is rescued and decides to reclaim her life in New York where she moves in with a gay roommate who is also trying to find his way in life. Together they will stop at nothing to realize their dreams. But Kimmey is still trying to understand the crazy new world she now lives in. Tina Fey brings you this laugh out loud comedy. Season two is set for streaming on April 15. If you’re in for a laugh make sure you check out season one.  

 

 

 

6. Grace and Frankie: Season 2

Grace and Frankie have been rivals for as long as they can remember, but when they learn that their husbands have fallen in love with each other, they must learn to overcome their animosity. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are back with new laughs in this hilarious comedy. Watch it on May 6.  

 

7. Orange is the New Black: Season 4

This is the one we’ve all been waiting for! Orange is the New Black now has a premiere date—the only problem is, it’s in June! Get ready for another season of crazy prison antics. Crazy Eyes, Alex, Piper, Sophia, Nicky, Red and many more are ready to go in for the kill; so to speak. Season four is set for streaming on June 17.
